Finalist of the Makeup Reality TV Show "Blush", Todd Homme passed away in his sleep Saturday, December 13th. The cause of death is unknown but is rumored to be due to a heart condition. Todd was only 23 years old.
I became a fan of Todd while watching "Blush". He was a true inspiration. His love and passion for Makeup shined through his work. Todd came across as a genuinely good-hearted person and an extraordinary human being. The judges on the show always spoke highly of him. They said things like ... "he has so much joy, you see it in his face when he works" "he lives for it."
Even while watching the finale show Tuesday evening, I was not aware of his passing
It wasn't until Wednesday morning, while at work a co-worker mentioned ... "hey, did you hear one of the guys from Blush passed away?" Immediatedly I turned to Google to see what I could find. My heart dropped to the floor when I found out it was Todd. I read an article on Newsday.com which confirmed his death. Todd was my favorite on the show, along with Nolan. Together they made an excellent team.
I did not know Todd Homme on a personal level but can honestly say I was touched by his personality and inspired by his passion of Makeup.
I would like to extend my condolences to Todd Homme's loved ones. My prayers are with his Fiance, Mother, Nolan, and his family during this very difficult time.
